ok were almost in a null allaince. and i want to mine solo in null sec and make isk. what do i need to know? i need to know.. a good retriver tank fit. escape tactics. things i should know before diving into null. ok and your going to ask me why not just get someone to protect you while you mine?well thats quite simple. in null anyone can hurt you even your own corp mates. i learned that the hard way in HIGH SEC! anyways hoping for some good responses thanks :)
EDIT: wanted to also include how to get out of warp scram...dam i hate those things.
retriever's can't tank. warp to pos is your escape tactic. before going in to null? just don't. if you're flying a retriever you're obviously new, just don't. stay in high sec and get a better grasp on the game first.
getting out of warp scram? you don't. you just don't get scrammed to begin with. Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |

Oscillus Perforati wrote: Oh, and if you're mining for money, Scordite is the second most valuable ore in the game right now and can be found literally anywhere with an asteroid belt. You don't need to go to nullsec to make a lot of money mining right now so if you're going there exclusively to mine for money, don't. It's not worth the hassle, especially given the changes coming on the 8th that will apparently result in some nice, utterly gank-resistant mining barges for your highsec enjoyment.
true but woefully wrong. the gap between first and second is bigger than the gap between second and everything else. null sec is still where you want to be if you're mining for isk/hour. complete ****, retrievers can tank fine in high sec. i was in a 0.7 belt with 3 rats yesterday and i didn't have a single issue. t2 light drones make short work of them. 0.7 also has the most lucrative ores so there's no need to go to 0.5 systems or whatever. blood hauler wrote:Got to ask your self why would you want to mine in null sec as well though http://ore.cerlestes.de/index.html#site:oreonly ark is worth more than empire ore, if you want to find nice large roids of empire ore go to low or find a site.
because look at the jump between scord and arkonor vs scord and bistot.
the order isn't as important as the isk values. Reading my posts is like panning for gold; most it will be useless, but occasionally you'll find a nugget of gold. |

blood hauler wrote:your not going to find huge roids of ark to last long and where they is ark they is normally very large amounts of people.
And you will find that you mine more m3 of Scordite than ark due to it's size and been able to get the full amount from each mining laser
you mine at a uniform rate. so you will mine exactly the same amount of ark as you do scordite. at worst you lose 15.9 m3 of ore, that's practically nothing (over an hour that's what, about 2/3 of a cycle of one strip miner).
you don't understand how grav sites work, do you? not to mention there aren't lots of people there, they'll be spread over the entire region to minimise the effect of afk cloaky faggots and to prevent industry indexes going over 3 in order not to draw attention to themselves.
